Outline VPN

I just came across Outline from Jigsaw (Google?), which says it "makes it easy to create a VPN server, giving anyone access to the free and open internet." Can I install this on my shared space as a replacement for the ProtonVPN that I pay for?

azuiker if the Outline server application does not require root access then you might be able to run it here at Opalstack.

I couldn't find that info in their docs, so I can't say for sure.

According to this (https://getoutline.org/get-started/#step-1)

Choose from some of the most trusted providers like Digital Ocean, AWS, or Google Cloud. Once you’ve chosen your cloud provider, they will guide you through their specific onboarding process, but you’ll be able to manage your server from your Outline Manager.

These steps will help you install Outline on a Linux server.

Paste your installation output in the Outline Manager Client.

anjanesh the OP asked if they could install it on their Opalstack shared server.

Since they don't have root access on their Opalstack shared server, they won't be able to use that installation script.

Ah. Ok.
Didn't notice the sudo at first glance. Also requires Docker which I thought could be installed without root.
