Hello everyone, hope you're ok,
I understand that Opalstack keeps daily, weekly and monthly backups which is amazing, but I also want to take my own backups and store them elsewhere. I currently use Dropbox (at the moment just for SQL dumps, but I would want to backup source code and media files in this way too), but I run an scp command (using Lingon to automate it) to copy from the Opalstack servers to the Dropbox folders on my local computer. This then syncs automatically, but obviously all this only works if my computer is running. I am looking for something that will be sure to run and sync.
I understand that you cannot do โscpโ into Dropbox directly, however, I have found that there is a program called โrcloneโ which I could install and configure to achieve a similar result.
I just wondered if anyone had used rclone successfully, or anything similar? I am not precious about using Dropbox either, but I think it would probably be a good fit.
I understand that rclone would be running on Opalstack so would have memory and bandwidth implications on my account. I don't know what these would be yet, but I'm hoping not too much.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated ๐ I feel embarrassed asking this, but I am stuck so thought I would reach out.
