What is the correct DNS Record for external website only, not mail

I am migrating on another openstack server from webfaction (my third migration).
On there there is a DNS Record marked as 'External' pointing the domain wwoof.ie to a different host for the website.
The mail is looked after by the webfaction servers.
I have added the domain wwoof.ie to the opalstack server and migrated the mail.

I just want to be sure that all I need to do is add a DNS type A record to wwoof.ie pointing to the ip address of the other host before I change the DNS in the wwoof.ie domain register to point to the de.opalstack.com name servers.

Sorry to be a bit cautious about this, but I do not want to mess things up!

themetman if you were using the "External" website option for the domain at WF, then yes an A record pointing at that external IP is what you need.
