how to connect to my email box with python?

hello i need to automate the processing of emails received. How can i do it with python and opalstack? any example?

import ssl

ctx = ssl.create_default_context()
server = imaplib.IMAP4_SSL(host='imap1.de.opalstack.com', ssl_context=ctx)
but it failed at this line with :
init() got an unexpected keyword argument 'ssl_context'

any help?

cires we've got a system similar to WebFactions "send mail to a script" feature that we'll be rolling out very soon :-)

IIRC, the ssl_context is only with python3. I use exactly that (with python 3)... see the example at: https://community.opalstack.com/d/76-self-clearing-mailbox
If you're using python 2, just remove the ssl_context keyword and you should be able to connect.

I would like to use this "send mail to a script" feature, which should be available now since 2 years have past. Specifically, I want to track "open rates". How many of my sent emails (sent via a python script) were actually opened and potentially read.
Also, I would like to access my mail log to record that same information. i.e. open rates. I tried several locations, and could not locate the mail log.
