WebDAV application with basic authentication instead of digest for Joplin

Hi, I was going to use my opalstack server to sync encrypted notes for Joplin, and was delighted to see that opalstack has a option for that. Unfortunately Joplin only supports basic authentication, while opalstack seems to default to digest authentication.

Is it possible for me to change the authentication to basic from the console command line? Its been a while since I've had to fiddle with this kind of thing and wasn't able to find a solution on my own.

woodsc it's not possible to change the authentication type on our managed WebDAV apps.

As an alternative maybe you could use a private Apache instance: HOWTO run a private PHP-FPM stack on Nginx or Apache on Opalstack

That setup will get you your own Apache server with its own httpd.conf. You can then remove the preconfigured PHP site configuration and replace it with your custom WebDAV configuration, pointing at your WebDAV directory.

Thanks, I might end up using the Joplin cloud service instead then since I know very little about webDAV in general, but if I get ambitious I'll give it a shot!
