  • Setting up a new WordPress Website and get the Let's Encrypt certificate

Hi,

I am trying to upload WordPress on a subdomain. I created the shell and the application. In the logs, I got the logins. I then tried to create a subdomain. I went to the domain tab and clicked on Add a domain. I entered as the domain name the following: subdomain.domain.ca

After, I clicked on Add a site and entered the application and shell. I was not able to keep the option of activating the Let's Encrypt certificate. As a test, I clicked on Add the site after these options were unselected. It went through.

However, the website subdomain.domain.ca is not reachable. I suppose it has to do with the setup of the domain. Could you let me know what I missed?

Thank you in advance for your help,

Best regards,

Tim

labocinemedias if the site subdomain.domain.ca is truly unreachable, that is the hostname "subdomain.domain.ca" does not resolve in DNS, then it could be a couple of issues:

    • If it's a brand new subdomain then its DNS records might still be propagating. In this case you'll need to wait a bit and maybe flush your DNS cache.
    • You might have a DNS record like an A or CNAME configured to point the subdomain at the wrong IP or host. To fix it:

If you've checked all of that and still aren't sure how to proceed then please feel free to email our support team with the details so that we can look into it further.

      Hi Sean,

Thank you so much for your reply. The issue was indeed coming from the DNS propagation.
