Adjust PHP Settings for symlink App?

Hi All,
I have a drupal install on my server but I need the ability to upload files larger than 64MB. I've followed the instructions for adjusting the .user.ini file, but it doesn't seem to effect the installation. Is it possibly another process for php configuration when it comes to symlinks? Thanks for your time?

iamasq if the .user.ini file is in the symlink target directory then the settings should work.

If you're certain that you have the file in the correct location and that you have the correct settings in the file, then please email support with all of the details so that we can take a closer look.
