Question about migrating Webmail from the old host to Opalstack

A friend/client's site that I'm migrating from another host has been using Roundcube for his email. Will all his mail stay intact, or is it somehow tied to the old host's Roundcube installation (I know very little about Webmail applications, so please forgive the dumb question, lol).

cbiweb Webmail systems like Roundcube are IMAP email clients that use the web as their user interface.

if you want to migrate the mail to Opalstack you'll have to do that via IMAP. Instructions are in our documentation: Importing Email from Another Provider

If your client also has contacts in his current Roundcube setup then they'll also need to export that and then import it to Roundcube here. That's done via the import/export buttons in the contacts section of Roundcube.
