We're working on some improvements to our Apache setup which should help with this sort of problem.
In the meantime if you'd like to try changing some of your Apache/PHP-CGI apps over to Nginx/PHP-FPM then please email support @ opalstack.com to let us know which apps and we'll make that change for you.
