DNS Records and MX servers

Hey folks,

Switched to Opalstack from Webfaction this month. The tools to transfer Wordpress and email were super useful, so thanks for that!

Have been having issues setting up DNS Records for both sites being hosted here. My domain registrar is onlydomains.com and with webfaction it worked fine setting up A records for ipv4 and AAAA for ipv6, MX servers for mail and CNAME for external bigcartel shops in the subdomain "shop."

An @ Host CNAME also helped for webfaction https://support.onlydomains.com/content/14/15/en/what-are-some-common-dns-issues.html

With Opalstack I've not been able to get the mail side of things to work, and was having issues with certificates being invalid for www. and the main site not showing up now.

Since trying to get this working I've now been sent back a failure message of:
DNS Error: 27829000 DNS type 'mx' lookup of [my domain was here] responded with code SERVFAIL

Do I have to set up something on Opalstack to make this work correctly? I'm using the mx1.de.opalstack.com and mx2.de.opalstack.com addresses.

Also, I tried deleting my LE certificate as it was saying it was invalid, and now it won't let me make a new one. Are you guys at a limit with that just now? I noticed that searching the forums for help.

If lets encrypt generation fails on a given domain send us a support ticket so we can place it back in the queue. We track failures on the back end and remove a domain from the generation queue if it has had a given number of failures. This keeps us from being banned from the service and lets us manually inspect why it failed and provide guidance.

For your DNS issues we would need to know which domain is having these issues and we can investigate. Send us that information with the same support ticket.
