(1) Which applications offer the best possible security with reasonable speed ?

(2) Is it so that php8+nginx(xengine) fpm (fast process management security features such as pooling is not available for VPS users and the current implementation does offer password protection ?

(3) Is it so that using Apache password protection with std .htaccess is available but the price to be paid would be slower web page ?

(4) Could other plugin offer the security for php nginx fpm and which one ?
(a) SQL database ?
(b) Opensource free php software packet, which one - this would be the most suitable for us because we liked to have all our app same type i.e php+nginx+fpm ?

(5) Which applucation type would offer the best security for
(a) software development

security essential, speed reasonable
(b) .app storage
security critical, speed essential

At this time:

The PHP-FPM+Nginx stack offers the best performance but doesn't provider features like password protection
The PHP-CGI+Apache stack provides capabilities for password protection but its performance is not as good as the Nginx stack.

When we started Opalstack, the PHP stack was originally PHP-FPM+Apache but we had some problems with scaling that up to a high number of users. We hope to be able to provide that stack again at some point.

I don't understand your questions about plugins and packets.

If you're equating "security" with "password protection" then you should be using the PHP-CGI+Apache app.

If you want total control over your web server configuration then you could use a private PHP-FPM stack with whatever configuration you want to implement yourself.
