Gmail POP3 setup: Account is temporarily unavailable.

I'm trying to set up Gmail to download my emails, but when saving my credentials I get this error:

Server denied POP3 access for the given username and password.
Server returned error: "Account is temporarily unavailable."

I believe I have the right settings, as I just did the same for another email address. If I change the username to a non-existent user, I get a different error ("[AUTH] Authentication failed."). I've also tried deleting a recreating my mail user and changing the password, but get the same result each time.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong and how I might fix it?

mml Are you able to log into https://webmail.opalstacked.com/ with this mail user?

Hi, sorry to revive an old thread but I've had exactly the same problem having migrated from Webfaction in the past day.

I'm able to login to webmail using the same credentials.

Details as per OP except using mail.de.opalstack.com POP server.

Send us a support ticket and we can look at the log filtered for your user and see why authentication is failing.
