Having the 4Gb VPS Plan which inludes 2 CPUs and after having selected the PHP-FPM(Fast CGI Management + Nginx (open source) Application Type I have the choice either to go with default values or set my own max values.
Have I understood ok the following:
(1) each thread activated by this type of application can handle concurrently several requests i.e. no process nor any thread is being created for each request ?
(2) this VPS with 2 CPU quarantees two worker processes ?
Answers to the following questions would help:
(3) how many Cores per CPU in this plan ?
(4) Is the prompt "FPM Child Threads" ok ?
see its explanation "the number of child processes ." - taking into account this kind of application is not supposed to create processes but instead handle several connections and request async with one thread - whereas Apache creates processes, which is slow ?
(5) What are the maximums with 20/5 defaults
for the VPS having 2 CPU and 4 GB RAM guaranteed to run the
PHP-FPM Nginx application type
(a) max number of worker processes ?
(b) max number of child processes ?
(c) max number of threads totally / per process ?

Thanks in advance helping to undestand these two settings which one obviously can tune afterwards !

Each child process can service a single request at a time.

The use of "threads" in the UI is probably inaccurate. They are child processes.

As we mentioned in the docs, Opalstack makes no recommendations as to how these parameters should be set for a particular application or level of traffic. To figure out the best settings for your site, you will need to monitor your site's performance and adjust the settings accordingly.
