Testing a new mailbox set up for my (quite elderly) parents today, a test with some text cut and pasted from an out of copyright book and an attachment apparently got flagged as spam and rejected.
But I got no notice -- it just disappeared into the ether. It was in the sent box for Email A, and just never arrived in the inbox in Mailbox B.
Compare to Gmail, where I repeated the test, and got this message back:
Message not delivered
There was a problem delivering your message to [redacted]@shep.ca. See the technical details below, or try resending in a few minutes.
The response from the remote server was:
554 5.7.1 Spam message rejected
How do I get these notifications from my Opalstack-hosted email when messages are rejected as spam? I'm presently applying for jobs, and the thought that I'm sending emails that might get spam-flagged and will never know is disturbing.
