Which resources may stop working if a domain registrar changes ?
[1] As reference to [2]....
It is the trusteed ISP Opalstack
https://opalstack.com/
which
- powers our PHP-FPM web sites
- keeps SSL certificates updated
- handles emais
- provides GUI and API
- offers VPS platform
- supports in tech problems
[2]
Which of above resources managed
by Opalstack might get offline, stop
working, if a domain registrar would
make mistakes or mislead to move
to untested platform ?
- web pages ?
- SSL certificates ?
- emails ?
- nameservers ?
- something else ?
[3]
Is it so that our PHP-FPM proccesses
would keep on running ?
[4]
Would the above resources start
automatically once the new domain
registrar get its problems solved ?
[5]
Even if the move to a new domain
registrar would go smootly, is
it so that we needed to tune
ns1.us.opalstack.com
ns2.us.opalstack.com
ns3.us.opalstack.com
ns1.sg.opalstack.com
ns2.sg.opalstack.com
ns3.sg.opalstack.com
ns1.de.opalstack.com
ns2.de.opalstack.com
ns3.de.opalstack.com
and for each domain !?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
ps1: no company names mentioned
as obliged by the rules of this forum
ps2: domain registrar X owned by Z
wanted us to move from their platform
to domain registrar Y (brand owned
by Z) which would require transferring
our domains and because each
transaction means buying a domain
for one or two years (even if aready paid)
the move
would become very expensive
&
as I questioned above how risky is it ?
