It's a long article so I skim read it xD Django is an old wonderfully mature framework now and I don't think it's going anywhere. It will be interesting to see what the journey to 5.2 looks like and how the async features mature.
I was dissapointed in the article that I couldn't find any mention of the current resurgance of server side rendering and full stack Django - which is what I do =D I've recently started a project with Django + HTMX + Tailwind (+ DaisyUI) and I'm loving it! Full stack Django has never been this good. So for me definitely the future of my web development and also the past.
