Howto sent mail in PHP through Opalstack's SMTP

I have a few older websites using Sendgrid to deliver its booking- and contactemails to the client and customers.
Last week (or maybe longer) Sendgrid's IP was on the blacklist of Spamcop (apparently) which resulted in mails being blocked by Opalstack.
I think they're resolving the issue, but it doesn't feel trustworthy anymore as such. Is there a way to sent email in PHP directly through the SMTP of the mailbox hosted at Opalstack with certainty it will be delivered to the same mailbox?

Using a library is likely the simplest method.

One which should work well is PHPMailer

Thanks, implemented it really easy indeed. Problem solved.

Sendgrid used to be great. But now they want a lot of money for basis stuff.
Apparently the shared IP they were using for my mails was blacklisted for a least three days. My client lost many mails and bookings. And their support is only directing me towards paying 90 USD per month as the solution.
Won't be using them anymore.
