Deploying an async Django project

What do I need to do to successfully set up a Django application on Opalstack that is served by uvicorn (or hypercorn or daphne) instead of uWSGI? If I use the Django installer I don't know how to swap out the server, and if I follow the ASGI server tutorial I don't know how to point uvicorn at my Django project. Help a fellow out with how to combine the two?

thecommexokid ~~In regards to integrating your Django project with the aforementioned tutorial, I believe step 5 is where that is done. Then the customized bash script will set it up with uvicorn automatically.~~ If that is not what you are trying to do can you please provide more details?

Hm. Well, I did the whole thing again from scratch just now so I could tell you where it goes wrong…and this time it worked fine. So not sure what I messed up the first time but I guess it was a "me" problem all along.

Does the Opalstack django installer do anything additional besides what django-admin startproject does that I should attempt to replicate here?

To setup Django with uvicorn/hypercorn/daphne; etc"

Create a normal Django app
Install whatever ASGI server you want into the Django apps virtual environment - https://docs.opalstack.com/topic-guides/python/#installing-python-dependencies-for-your-project
Edit the apps start/stop scripts to use desired ASGI server (for gunicorn/uvicorn) doing that will look something like what is posted on the ASGI tutorial guide: https://community.opalstack.com/d/1063-howto-run-an-asgi-server-on-opalstack)
