New limits on email username possibilities?

Have new limits recently (withing the past couple of months) been placed on allowable email usernames?

It seems as though I am no longer able to create the style of email username that I require.

The email username that I just attempted to create was in this RFC-compliant format:

aaaa#.#####-##.aaaa.aaaaaa##@example.com

a = one character from the a-z 26-character set

# = one character from the 0123456789 set

I created such an email username early in 2022-10. Today it seems I can no longer do this.

I did spend a bit of time attempting to make sure I wasn't making a mistake, and to attempt to characterize what was happening. During this process one of the error messages I received back stated:
"Ensure this field has no more than 32 characters."

This appears to prevent the construction of valid email addresses.

davidmbesonen the 32-character limit is for mailbox names, not email addresses.

After you've created a mailbox you can route it to any email address that you create at https://my.opalstack.com/mail/ via the "Create Email Address" button.

The local part of the email address (ie before the @) does not have a specific character limit but the entire address (including @ and the domain) must be 254 characters or less.
